Wink always welcomed us with open arms. And we happily accepted her hospitality! We went to visit her in NY for a week the summer of 2007. We saw all the sights - visiting the Statue of Liberty, Museum of Natural History, Central Park, World Trade Center memorial, a cruise around Manhattan... Winnie, Mary and Kate went to see Hairspray on Broadway. And the boys, Julius, Pat and Ben, went to a Yankees game. Oh what fun! Julius saw to it that we had a NY seafood extravaganza. He, and his assistant Kate, went to the fish market and picked out all kinds of delicacies a cooked up a feast to remember! The memory I cherish most from that trip is a road trip we took to Williamsport, PA to watch the Little League World Series. We stepped back in time with Wink - sitting in the stands eating fresh kettle corn... not a care in the world. We cheered on the Coon Rapids, MN team, being Minnesotans at heart. We felt like family sitting among the many fans from Minnesota just having some good ol', down home fun. Ahhh....
