I met Winnie when I was 16 . My Mom worked at the C.P. School and Winnie was a S.W. there. Over the years we kept in contact and she was a mentor and friend. She helped me get into Adelphi when I was at Downstate Med Center and very unhappy. She became a part of our family with my brother , sister, Mom and Dad. We never laughed so much and when I lived in N.Y. she would come over and we would sing and my Mom would play the piano. Winnie also helped me check out schools on L.I. for my daughter who has some special learning challenges. I was able to meet many of her wonderful friends and Beth,Cathy, Nan and Ellen and Mary Ellen. Every time Winnie would come to California we would get together with Ellen. Such a beatuful family. Love you Winnie and was so grateful to be with you in your final weeks in this dimension and I know you saw that light and drifted peacefully to a place of no pain, surronded by angels and much love. I surely miss you and your generous heart and soul. I'm with all of you in spirit on Winnie's special day of celebrating her life. She touched so many hearts in all walks of life and I feel like one of the fotunate ones to have known her With all my love, Lynn
