During the summer of 2008, I took the Dental Admission Test in order to apply for dental school. To celebrate finally being done with studying, I planned to meet my family (Neil, Ann, Cori, and Derek Johnson) and my boyfriend Brian at Buca di Beppo after the exam. To my surprise, my mom had also invited Brian's parents as well as my Grandma Nan and Great Aunt Winnie, who was in town visiting. We had a wonderful family-style Italian dinner full of lots of stories and laughter. When we were finished, my mom asked what dessert we wanted to get--which is always the hardest part for me because I love dessert and am super indecisive. Winnie, a woman after my own heart, convinced my mom to order the Dolce Platter, which has all of the desserts on it! It was simply amazing. Winnie got the entire table roaring one more time by eating a bite of the Tiramisu and exclaiming in her thick New York accent, "OH GAWD, that is delicious!" We were so blessed to get to know my grandma's baby sister and I will miss her great sense of humor and belly-shaking laughter the most. Until we meet again, Erin Johnson
