Winnie and Georgia, cousins and instant friends

Meeting our cousins as adults at Aunt Helen's 100th birthday party was an amazing experience for me. Getting to know my cousin, Winnie, during that week was nothing short of miraculous. While celebrating Aunt Helen's 100th Birthday, Winnie and I started a conversation and in an instant, we became dear friends. Somehow over an hour or so, I poured out my life story to this cousin who I hadn't seen for about 50 years. I knew that this instant friendship could only happen with some kind of intervention from above. Could the spirit of my mother and of my Aunt Win have had something to do with this? I think so. I even noted at the time, that Winnie looked like a Stephens, and I felt that I was talking to a Stephens. Clearly, we shared a common history. Later that weekend, in conversations with Frank and Ellen, I continued feeling common ground, oneness. I now keep Ellen and Nan and Frank and Winnie in the family of my heart. Winnie is a precious soul. She lived with a huge compassionate and loving heart. I can feel the presence of Winnie, Frank, Aunt Win, Aunt Helen, my mother, Aunt Dorothy, and the Barretts and Stephens before them who are holding all of us in their loving and protective arms. We are blessed. Georgia
